I want to elaborate on what needs to be discussed tonight regarding GT6 as there has been quite a lot going on over the past few weeks and the league is starting to become disorganized. Points for discussion are;

• Monaco appeals to sort out from last week

• Incomplete forum sections, sub-categories not being created before races or updated as they should, e.g. there are still no results for Germany from touring cars.

• Organization of the leagues. E.g. why are there 20 drivers signed up to do touring cars when there are only 16 spaces? Also there have been complaints regarding car allocations and lack of transparency. Need to move away from a system where cars are distributed fairly or even randomly so that it does not look like some drivers are given preferential treatment over others. On the theme of car allocation, there have also been complaints that BK was allowed to change his touring car to one which was not on the list. BK claims this was agreed, but this was not discussed in the FIA so could not have been agreed, it also makes it very difficult to try and explain to new members that we try and treat everyone fairly as this sort of thing clearly looks like that is not the case and undermines the work we are doing to build this side of the league. There have also been other issues such as the Le Mans details not being completed before the race which lead to disarray and I was a little disappointed the mod did not do much to help rectify the situation.

• League management/stewarding. After Monaco when I placed an appeal a few of the new members thought that this sort of thing was personal and it has been a bit of a tense week. On top of all of the other issues it has been very difficult to try and see a way that it could be fixed, considering accusations of bias of the FIA (I even seriously considered retiring from the league so I could try and sort things out without having that label of bias put against me). However I think the main problem is that the new members need to be involved with decision making with the GT6 side of things, so that things can be done properly and in a timely way. It will not be possible to invite GT6 members to the usual FIA due to them not having the F1 game and there not being space in a normal chat lobby so I am proposing the following; We should create two sub committees, an F1 committee and a GT6 committee. It would be up to each committee to look after their various leagues and any issues there are such as car allocation etc, as well as dealing with any appeals. Each subcommittee should contain at least one admin member, a league manager and mods and representatives from across the leagues. Then the admins and managers will meet after each subcommittee in the FIA to summarize each meeting, as well as discussing other matters to do with the site and its members. This way we can better represent our members and it will give the new members a chance to have an input and help get GT6 properly organized so that it is in a position where we can manage the growth. I would like to get this implemented so that it is in place for next week, and whilst we are getting setup I will take the role of GT6 league manager, but in time this role will need to be advertised, along with at least one other mod position.

FIA Summary. 18/03/14

1. Appeals

• GP4 – gamerguy’s appeal against the race result. This could not be upheld, simply as the only evidence from the stewards video clearly shows that you had disconnected from the lobby at least 10 laps before the finish of the race.

• GT6
1) for the 2 incidents with oscar he has reserve his first warning for inconsiderate driving towards other players.
2) the incident with vern was a result of three cars going trying to go round one corner three abreast so the speed difference between dave, vern and the other drives meant that a collision was unavoidable and dave was just in the wrong place, wrong time.

2. Lag issues in F1 to be discussed next week.

3. F1 car allocation was also discussed. Is James too quick for the Red bull? Will need to be sorted next week

4. GT6. Fairly broad agreement on the new proposals for implementing a GT6 committee to sit alongside an F1 committee who will be responsible for ruling on appeals and setting up and organising of new leagues etc. The committee will consist of an admin member and the GT6 mods as well as a few other members of Gran Turismo leagues.
